"sure, the pointy end goes in the other man"

such words of wisdom from alejandro murrieta portrayed by antonio banderas in the mask of zorro. (or maybe the title of the movie was slightly different..?? in ant case...) but yea, i was watchin zorro last night, and that is one of the greatest lines in the movie.
old zorro: "do you know how to use that thing?"
alejandro: "sure, the pointy end goes in the other man."

so here i am. i've been on the internet a grand total of 4 hours; ever since i woke up this afternoon. this goes to show you how incredibly boring my life is. all my friends are at work, or doing something else. i hardly bother asking if anyone can do anything anymore, as 9 chances outta 10 it's no. and i'm not an optimist, so you don't see me thinking "9 outta 10, then there's still a chance!" bleah, like i'd ever say something as cheesy as that. no offense to you optimists of the world. we still need you to counterbalance we pessimists of the world. is the glass half-empty of half-full?

ok, i'd like to salute someone new today. today's 'person of the moment' is kikyo from inuyasha.

here we have kikyo. kikyo really gets the short end of the stick when it comes to inuyasha fans. yea, there are loyal fans out there, but she gets so much bashing from everybody else. kikyo dies in the first episode of inuaysha, but then is brought back from the dead in a body made from gravesoil and her ashes in a magic kiln. many people hate kikyo because of her acts of retribution towards the living. she can't help it that she's dead. she wanted to stay dead, but was forced back into life without even truly being alive again. so of course she's mad at everybody else. they have what she wants. now that she is alive again, she'd like to keep it that way. it's all human nature. why does she try to kill kagome? duh, she's jealous. why does she try to kill inuyasha? because she wants to be with him in a place where she knows she truly belongs: death. i'd like to credit kikyo for being the tough person she is. she is a master archer, a powerful priestess, and doesn't let anyone push her around. she isn't evil, just misunderstood. hat's off to kikyo, the obviously stronger past version of herself (kagome's her reincarnation).

ok, well, there's that. i was really hoping that my ranma 1/2 boxset would come today, but it seems it hasn't. maybe i'll go to the mall later, just for something to do. i'd rent a movie, but i dunno what i'd rent, and it isn't as much fun watching it alone. some friday night this turned out to be. at least i got to sleep in. o and watch, i'll go downstairs later and find all these missed calls of people who wanted to do something today, but now it's too late; just my luck.

here's where i'm gonna make a plug for eric's webcomic, ninja academy. it seems alot like the anime series naruto, which is what it was inspired from (even though i haven't seen naruto, somehow i know this).

back to the insatiable boredom with me. internet bumper sticker of the day:
