"sure, the pointy end goes in the other man"

such words of wisdom from alejandro murrieta portrayed by antonio banderas in the mask of zorro. (or maybe the title of the movie was slightly different..?? in ant case...) but yea, i was watchin zorro last night, and that is one of the greatest lines in the movie.
old zorro: "do you know how to use that thing?"
alejandro: "sure, the pointy end goes in the other man."

so here i am. i've been on the internet a grand total of 4 hours; ever since i woke up this afternoon. this goes to show you how incredibly boring my life is. all my friends are at work, or doing something else. i hardly bother asking if anyone can do anything anymore, as 9 chances outta 10 it's no. and i'm not an optimist, so you don't see me thinking "9 outta 10, then there's still a chance!" bleah, like i'd ever say something as cheesy as that. no offense to you optimists of the world. we still need you to counterbalance we pessimists of the world. is the glass half-empty of half-full?

ok, i'd like to salute someone new today. today's 'person of the moment' is kikyo from inuyasha.

here we have kikyo. kikyo really gets the short end of the stick when it comes to inuyasha fans. yea, there are loyal fans out there, but she gets so much bashing from everybody else. kikyo dies in the first episode of inuaysha, but then is brought back from the dead in a body made from gravesoil and her ashes in a magic kiln. many people hate kikyo because of her acts of retribution towards the living. she can't help it that she's dead. she wanted to stay dead, but was forced back into life without even truly being alive again. so of course she's mad at everybody else. they have what she wants. now that she is alive again, she'd like to keep it that way. it's all human nature. why does she try to kill kagome? duh, she's jealous. why does she try to kill inuyasha? because she wants to be with him in a place where she knows she truly belongs: death. i'd like to credit kikyo for being the tough person she is. she is a master archer, a powerful priestess, and doesn't let anyone push her around. she isn't evil, just misunderstood. hat's off to kikyo, the obviously stronger past version of herself (kagome's her reincarnation).

ok, well, there's that. i was really hoping that my ranma 1/2 boxset would come today, but it seems it hasn't. maybe i'll go to the mall later, just for something to do. i'd rent a movie, but i dunno what i'd rent, and it isn't as much fun watching it alone. some friday night this turned out to be. at least i got to sleep in. o and watch, i'll go downstairs later and find all these missed calls of people who wanted to do something today, but now it's too late; just my luck.

here's where i'm gonna make a plug for eric's webcomic, ninja academy. it seems alot like the anime series naruto, which is what it was inspired from (even though i haven't seen naruto, somehow i know this).

back to the insatiable boredom with me. internet bumper sticker of the day:

5 day weekend!!!

o ya, that's right, starting tomorrow i have a 5 day weekend. god it'll be so nice. but today's gonna be a loooong day, it was a late start, yea, but i was feeling sick all last night and haven't eaten anything but a malted milk shake in the last 24 hours (i had lost my appetite.) hopefully my ranma 1/2 season one dvd boxset will arrive in the mail either today or tomorrow. and hopefully i'll be abloe to go out somewhere tomorrow night. why? becuase i really need to get out more. if i have ranma it won't be so bad if i can't though.

well, i'm gonna go work on my website now.... so, i'll just leave with some choice parting words:

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

i hate being sick

yea, i feel like shit today. headache, stomachache, chills, and general overall feeling shitty-ness.

yea, just thought i'd share that with ya. and here's one more thing to add to the sharing. i found it a while ago at Engrish.com, and personally think it's one of the funniest things to see out there. so check it out: hope you like irony.

so it's been a pretty boring morning. i went cruisin for bumper stickers on IBS earlier and found some more good ones. not the one i was lookin for tho. i wanted to find one with the evil monkey from chris griffin's closet on it. i'm sure i saw one like that out there before.

last night was senior night at the basketball game, so all the band, basketball, pom, and cheer seniors were aknowledged. last one too, that's such a nice thought.

just felt like stickin that there. and since my head hurts too much to think of anything else to say, this is where i bid you farewell.

i'd like to take a sec to recognize Photobucket.com, the wonderful website that hosts all my direct-link pictures.

o what a slacker am i

yes, yes, have no fear my imaginary audience, i am indeed back from my period of absence. it was actually a rather busy week for me. key words here are "busy for me" meaning they probably wouldn't be considered busy to somebody else. i had to work monday and thursday, i had to do band shit wednesday and friday, and saturday was spent getting ready for the formal dinner thing that jessie and i always go to (this year kristy, suzy, tim, jessie, and i went. sarah couldn't get off work). tuesday was my only break day and i think that mighta been the night i spend at the mall with my mom getting our new cell phones. i can't remember how long i've had it. damn my sense of time sucks.

yay! i'm going to green day in may (heh, dr. suess moment there). which is gonna be awesome! hopefully i'll be able to find jessie and tim and kristy and suzy, or else it'll be me, my lil' brother matt and his best friend cody. not that they're brats or anything, but it'd be more fun if i were to hang out with people closer to my age (in a 1 year radius rather than 3).

i watched little nicky last night. it was hilarious. i haven't laughed at a movie so much in years. it was the coke-tastes-like-pepsi thing that really got me.

well, i have no time to salute anyone today, as there's nobody a-talkin online and i don't have anyone in mind to salute. so later!
