for real?

i was taking a cake order on sunday and when i asked the lady her name she says what sounded like "anime". it was pretty weird. i almost asked her if she was serious, but i stopped myself and asked her if that was one word or not instead. so she spelled it out for me: "AnnaMae". i kept thinking about how any slight in pronunciation and accenting could have been helped for a while after (like Laura and Lara, where you listen carefully for the u), but i couldn't come up with much of a difference save for a slight pause between anna and mae. but since it was one word, it makes sense there's no pause? just plain bizarre. really.

for lack of anything better to do...

and the sad thing is that i've probably already used that title before. :(

anyway, just thinking how i haven't posted on my blog is forever. so here i am. there's not really anything noteworthy going on in my life right now, which is probably why i haven't been posting anything lately. i simply haven't had anything to say. i'm all moved back in with my parents, and quite comfortable to boot. unfortunately, i'm still finding myself short on funds, though i'm not entirely for sure why. i no longer have to pay for food and utilities and stuff, so where is all that money going?! the only things i can come up with are still paying off xmas stuff, which is unlikely, and gasoline. so yeah. i'm poor because gas prices suck. that sounds plausible.

i was looking up cheats for age of mythology online the other day, and i found one where you can get yourself a flying purple hippo. it leaves a rainbow in its wake and does damage by blowing red heart things (or kisses, i imagine) at you enemies. not only that, but its shadow is a heart. pretty amusing, really. the other unit you could cheat your way into was the lazer bear. it has a canadian flag tied around its neck like a cape and shoots lazers out of its eyes. oh, and it has evil monkey henchmen that are constantly at its side. the thing is damn near invincible. an equally amusing critter. you could also get this "fork boy" but he was pretty worthless and died not long after i sent him into battle. he was really slow as well, and his fork didn't even look sharp.

... and now i must end this post prematurely, as my brother needs to use the internet connection. au revoir. (i think i spelled that right...)

funny stories, amusement, hunger, and my blog

all are closely related. i searched for "funny story", "amusing", and "hungry" in my blog and came up with quite a few matches. i initially searched for "funny story" because i wanted to read something funny that had happened in the past. (you know, whenever you start telling a funny story you say "oh yeah, funny story..." or at least i do.) then i searched for "amusing" for the same reason. then i decided i was feeling hungry (which i still am, because i have only oatmeal and toast to eat :( ) and wondered how many times i'd mentioned that i was hungry whilst posting in my blog. quite a few.

so, to follow suite: i'm hungry. unfortunately i have no funny stories to tell, or anything amusing to say. finals week is bearing down on me and i am simply not in the mood to do homework. and i'm hungry. for something sweet. (not toast and oatmeal.)

been watching bleach lately. i skipped a bunch between the introductory episodes and when ichigo and company break into the soul society to rescue rukia (say that ten times fast). i've since decided that hitsugaya is my favorite. he's just one cool kid. renji's pretty cool too. interestingly enough, the endless bleach website compared the relationship of ichigo and renji to goku and vegeta (renji being vegeta and ichigo being goku). that was rather amusing (HA! there it is! this post contains both "amusing" and "hungry" in context! damn i'm too predictable o_O ).

hmm, well, i'm going to go remedy my hunger by snacking on some toast. or maybe oatmeal. i also have nutri-grain bars too (forgot about those...) farewell! (or don't fare well, your call)
